New Look?

It is 6 years this summer since the club moved into its new home. And, not surprisingly, because of the type of materials from which the club house is made, the outside of the building was starting to show signs of wear & tear. Considerable amounts of work had already been done inside to keep the building looking fresh and inviting, including renewal and improvement of the heating and ventilation system as well as re-decorating. So, this summer it has been the turn of the outside to have a facelift!
BSMTTC is a highly fortunate club, in that it is one of the very few table tennis clubs in the North West Region to own its own premises, enabling the club to make the premises available to its members 7 days a week and, if they wish it, 24 hours a day! But, of course, with ownership comes responsibility! And maintaining the premises is one of the largest responsibilities. It is a good job the club has an excellent management team - all volunteers - to keep on top of this task.

Most of the work on the outside has now been completed and the clubhouse is once again looking tip-top! A great job by the Management Team, under the leadership of Club Secretary, Keith Hardman, and of course the contractors who did the work!
It's great to have this new look just as a new table tennis season is about to start. New season, new look! That will certainly be the case on the table (see the League Preview for 2025/26), so it is good for the building too to have a new fresh look. it is the sign of a progressive club. Things left the same tend to either 'stagnate' or look 'tired'. That is not the kind of club that is BSMTTC! This table tennis club is vibrant, open and accessible and constantly welcomes a new look. Come along and see for yourself!
