A Blue Christams.....?

Kirsty MacColl said, "there's a guy works down the chip shop swears he's Elvis", she doubted it was true; whether it was or not he was certainly at Marine on Friday night for the table tennis club Christmas social. And what a great night it proved to be, one of the best social events the club has ever held. 

 

The room was packed, with just about every space taken and all tickets sold. There was music and entertainment, the grand raffle and of course 'Play Your Cards Right' with cash prizes. And the highlight? No doubt about it, the appearance of 'Elvis', bringing a brilliant tribute act to 'the king of rock and roll'. Ably compared by our very own Social Secretary, Keith Hardman and Chairman Bernard Cooney there was no hint at all of it being a blue christmas this year, quite the opposite.

Another great night of fun and entertainment well enjoyed by the large crowd attending. It just goes to prove that this table tennis club is about much more than good table tennis.
