We Are Ready!
Bath Street Marine Table Tennis Club is delighted to announce that it will be opening its doors again for playing indoor table tennis on Monday 27 July.
It seems hardly five minutes since we announced the Grand Opening of our new building, a momentous occasion on Friday 30 August 2019. Although completely different this re-opening seems almost as momentous following 4 months of closure as a result of the lockdown from the Corona Virus pandemic.
However, for the time being, there will be some differences! This is because we must ensure that we are entirely Covid Compliant in the way we operate. If we do not operate in a compliant way, there is the risk of being closed again. And we don't want that to happen!
Although the room will look a little different, as you can see from the pictures on this page, you will still receive the kind of warm welcome that you have been used to at Marine. You will have to book before coming and you can find details of how to book by going to the "Bookings" tab on this site. We have had to add new terms and conditions for users and you will find those also on the 'Bookings' tab. It really is important that everyone takes notice of those terms and conditions and keeps to them.
We are really sorry it is necessary to have all of these new processes, but the personal safety of every member is of highest importance and we believe that keeping to the new guidance will help that.
In planning for the re-opening the Club has had regard to the very latest guidance from Table Tennis England and carried out its own risk assessment adopting the TTE model template.
The Club will keep all of these new processes under review and we will make changes and enhancements when we can. But first, we want to get open again. And we want to do all we can to ensure that we can stay open! That is best achieved at present by operating in a fully Covid Compliant way!
Finally, here is a reminder! Anyone who plays table tennis at Marine should also have a Table Tennis England Membership. For those playing league table tennis a TTE membership at 'Compete' level is a requirement. If you just play table tennis socially then TTE membership at the 'Club Play' level is advised and for 2020/21 it is free! So do please sign up.
