Christmas Greetings

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all members and friends of Bath Street Marine TTC a very ‘Happy Christmas’ and a peaceful and prosperous New Year. My Christmas card to you all is here.

2025 has been a bit of a journey it seems. And like all journey’s there is usually a beginning and an end. For me this year’s journey meant a move from one end of the country, the Northwest, to the other, the Southeast! It has been quite a journey involving a considerable amount of change. The table tennis club has also been on a journey, new management, new members and new opportunities. Challenges the club has met very well. It is a journey that has far from ended, I guess that is a little like life’s journey, it has not yet ended! Certainly, there are many more adventures yet to come as the club faces up to all the challenges that any journey brings.

At this Christmastime, I am reminded of other journey’s long ago and one that came to mind is shown by the Christmas card. In these modern days it is fairly easy to journey over a long distance in a relatively short space of time and we do so to see and marvel at the wonders at the end of the journey. Not so easy long ago, but whether it was shepherds or wise men they all journeyed, for exactly the same reason......

I hope you continue to enjoy the journey through 2026 as I am sure there are still many wonders to be found. Above all continue to have a most enjoyable journey with table tennis. It is a great sport and there are always new wonders along the way.
