Open All Hours

Maybe you remember the TV Series starring Ronnie Barker and David Jason, 'Open All Hours' (still running on 'Yesterday' I believe), well I'm pleased to say that Bath Street Marine Table Tennis Club is open all hours to members.

You will see from both our News Stories on the website and from our Facebook page that the club had a lengthy public open session this week, celebrating National Table Tennis Day, when anyone could pop in for coffee and a chat - oh, and a cake or two - have a game of ping-pong indoors or out, challenge the robot, and find out more about table tennis and what our club has to offer.

On a bright sunny day, despite the odd momentary shower or two, we had a great time, and the cakes were delicious! Even our best players couldn't match the robot when it was in full speed mode! Hilarious!!

You can use our website, or the contacts page on it, to find out more information about our club or just pop in one day when the door is open and speak to someone there. Table Tennis is a great activity and can be as sociable or as competitive as you wish to make it! With both adult and junior training also available, with qualified coaches, you can also choose to progress and learn more if you wish. no obligation to do so though! Just come along and enjoy yourself, have some fun and a little gentle exercise in to the bargain!

Here's a couple of pictures from the Open Day on 18 July.

Members - and noticeably 50/50 men and women - supporting the Open Day

Migs Morris and Elaine Core - guarding the cakes, well they were to die for, delicious!
